Famous Authentic Seremban Baked Crab (CNY 2008 Trips)

We heard about this famous authentic Seremban baked crab long time ago, but I just don't have chance to taste it. After my trips from Kuala Pilah, I drive to the Seremban town through 51 road. It's took about 30 minutes to reach the town. You can see many Dragon Fruit farms along the road, and also many fruit stalls at road site selling this red special fruit.
The first mission at Seremban town was searching for the Famous 'Siew-Pow'. But unfortunately after follow Malsingmaps Poi's........the two shops actually do not exist.
So we decided to take our dinner earlier.
Follow the GPS device, it's route us to this restaurant - "Seremban Seafood Village" N2°43.985' E101°56.065'. (located at No. 3720-3724, Jalan Tuanku Munawir. Tel : 06-7641260)
It's really surprise me that this restaurant was so crowded in this evening!

Kuala Pilah, Negeri Sembilan (CNY 2008 Trips)

Kuala Pilah is a town in Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia. It is also the name of a district of the same name. It is a nice old valley town with many of the pre-war Chinese shophouses still fronting the main streets. This is one of the better places to savour Minangkabau food and there are a few Nasi Padang foodstalls that serve piping hot rice with a variety of savoury, spicy dishes you can choose from......for more, please visit wiki.

Street of Kuala Pilah

My purpose of traveling to this historical town is because of one old Chinese temple - 'San Sheng Khong'. The age of the temple is more than a decade. And many items & equipment in this temple was ship from China since Qing Dynasty.
Located at : N2°44.494 E102°14.936

Beautiful!

Just right opposite of this temple, there's some kind of wall erected by Martin Lister - British resident of Negeri Sembilan. (1889-1897)
Front

Back

And I found out the surrounding of this garden names 'Chinese Garden'.

Peoples are friendly over here, I had a chat with the locals and found out this Chinese garden was built for Temple function during every year. But some said, it's actually the British wanna block the 'Feng Shui' of this temple........

Tampin (CNY 2008 Trips)

Tampin is a small town established in 1832. The name of Tampin is gets from the container or pouch weaved from the pandanus fronds. The container was used to store condiments such as the kelamai or dodol and the shrimp paste belacan. For more information, please visit wiki.

There are 2 things attract me to this small town......
The Longkang Mee (Drain noodle) and the border of N. Sembilan and Melaka (Malacca).
The history of this noodle is about more than 80 years ago and it's name Long Kang mee because the stall was setup beside the drain when the owner started the business. But today they beautify it with "Long Jiang Mian" and forget about the word 'drain'.
Located at N2°28.026 E102°13.794

Too bad I found it during their break time! No luck!
Business hour : 8am - 2pm, 7pm - 11pm.

This sign age shows the border line of Malacca and Negeri Sembilan. The shops beside has different address. N2°27.982 E102°13.883

Lotus Village (Kampung Teratai), Johor.

N2°20.124 E102°43.276
I visited this hidden village during second day of CNY 2008. Along the way, it's all you can see rubber & palm oil estate. About 45 minutes driving from Bukit Gambir.

Map to Lotus Village

The local name it "Lotus Village" because of this lotus pond.

In this small cowboy town, you will feel peaceful naturally.
You won't see luxury houses accept wooden house. There's no good food around here......but what you can have is still "Peaceful"!!

Explore in Endau Rompin National Park, Johor.

The Explorers group continue their journey again.......

Map to Endau Rompin National Park

They wake up before dawn, preparing all necessary.....with the total 10 families driving their 4WD meet up at Kahang petrol station. (N2°12.905' E103°32.429')

Once all of them 'check-in', they started their adventure journey to 2 days 1 night trip at Endau-Rompin National Park. They need to pass through about 35KM of off road (from Kahang main road ) then follow by laterite road to the resort.

The view is just simply nice and calm! The leader of the group - 9W2LRR was navigating with 'MalsingMaps' and shows that there is a waterfall nearby before the resort.

So they decided to explore it. The road condition is bad and muddy.......They felt excited and trying hard to pass through one-by-one. But after 45 minutes drive, the broken bridge in front force them go back to resort........

1215hrs
Check-in to the Kg Peta Resort.

The chalet of the resort - 2 rooms @ MYR80 per day, 3 rooms @ MYR120 per day, electricity supply 1900 - 0700 hrs.

The suspension bridge to the management office

After their nice and simple lunch, the leader suggests to explore the nearest river from their resort (It's about 2-3km from the resort).

1430hrs
When the group reach the entrance of the river, they didn't notice the terrain was down slop & wet.....Most of them are too excited to see the crystal clear water of the river until the leader found out.....they facing problem to getting all the vehicle back to resort! So he stops the last 2 4WD to go down and stand by for rescue!

The entrance to Burung Beach

And the womens and kids are having a happy hours........

But 9W2SKW is worry about getting back to resort.......

Luckily there are 2 vehicles with winch, but not long enough! So the Land II hold the Ninja and pull them up one-by-one! They spend almost 3 hours to 'rescue' all the 4x4 back to resort.

Almost hit the tree!

Finally to the top

Almost near the cliff!

Suddenly, the 'James Bond look a like' - 9W2LKP in action!

Magic push.....

Team work

Into the bush!

All the Big Boys are so excited and happy but their family members are sooooooo boring!

1900hrs
Dinner time.

2100hrs
BBQ & beer time!!!

2nd day
After breakfast, the boats are waiting for them for the river cruise and jungle trekking at Kuala (estuary) Jasin. Where is the Endau river and Jasin river meet.

The jetty

I shoot you, you shoot me!

Some beautiful scene......

20 - 25 minutes later, they reached Kuala Jasin. And started their adventure jungle trekking.......

The Queen of Backpacker!

The canopy walk......

After a while they reach another river with this new but 'not ready' suspension bridge....

So this is the only way to cross the river.....

What a good daddy and his lucky son.....

Finally they found what they want! Crystal clear water!!

The way he talk to the fishes!

After about an hour of fun, they trek back to the resort......

1200hrs
Back to resort, get ready to check-out. Pack and go home!

On the way back, they discovered........
