Seafood Restaurant Hong Guan, Taman Permas Jaya - Johor Bahru

Seafood Restaurant Hong Guan (N1°29.998' E103°49.180') which is located at the corner of Jalan Permas 7 and Jalan Permas 9/5 of Taman Permas Jaya, Johor Bahru.

The restaurant is clean and tidy.

The outdoor open area.

The indoor air conditional area.

This is the restaurant we visit very often! Most of the dishes from here are taste above average, especially the 'Crab'. There are many type of Crab serve by the restaurant, the "Seremban Marmite Crab" is our big time favorites!!

I just had our dinner here few days ago, with my family.....

Our order for the night :-
1) Slice Fish cook with ginger and vege.
2) Hot Plate Tau-fu with egg.
3) Steam Prawn with ginger wine.
4) Crab mixed with salted egg.




The dishes 1 & 2 were better than average, but dishes 3 & 4 were marvellous!! The prawns and crabs were really in big size! (As you can refer from the pictures above)

The dinner was very delicious and enjoyable!!

Total damage was : MYR110.00 with drinks. (For 4 adults and one child)
Salted Egg Crab : MYR38.00
Steam Prawn : MYR30.00

The crab & prawn here have 3 different type of prices, that will depending on the size A, B or C.
Business hour of the seafood restaurant is 5pm to 2am. They close on Thursday two weeks once.

I will strongly recommend this Seafood Restaurant! The only disadvantage is.....not close to the sea.....

Popular Hawker stall at Permas Jaya, Johor Bahru

Located just along Jalan Permas 7, Permas Jaya, Johor Bahru.

I had been noticed this stall quite sometimes ago.
Business is very good especially weekend afternoon. That's make me curious & wanna try out their foods.

One of the Saturday afternoon, me & my brother in-laws visited this stall. Basically they are selling nasi lemak & others light foods, and their coconut drinks are selling like a hot cakes!

We order the coconut each and pack of mee-siam. It was tasty. Jerry (my bro in-laws) noticed the sugar cane looks like those planted natural from village....and we decided to taste it. Hmm....Fresh & good! It's different from those chemist perfectly sweet selling in the cities. It's the original sugar cane!

We monitored the customers non-stop dropping by, some come for the fresh drink....some are attract by their light foods. Beside this stall, there's another stall selling all type of fried snacks. Like goreng pisang (fried banana) and others.....

If you like to have some light food during tea break, it's worth to try out this stall.

The restaurant you won't visit second time!

We visit this McD (N1°29.702' E103°48.924') at Permas Jaya few times back......
As usual this time, we having our weekend breakfast here....
And they surprise us by the 'toilet'! Shit was everywhere but the cleaner seems like nothing happens having her own sweet time sweeping the floor in front of the counter....where there's no customer.

Just imagine that, the restaurant is fully air-condition and customers are enjoy having their meals, but mixed with some special smell.....?!

Anyway, the peoples who serve at the counter are not polite even. From the moment we walked in until we left, there are no smiling face from the staffs over here!
Hmm....this is the worst McD I visited, and will not back again, will you?

Restaurant Ahmad Khan, Permas Jaya, Johor Bahru.

Restaurant Ahmad Khan located at Jalan Permas 9/7, Permas Jaya. (N1°29.842' E103°49.554')
I am one of the regular customer for this 24 hours restaurant. The environment here is pretty clean, if compare with others mamak shop around JB.
Foods are average, but the roti canai is good!

This is the First mamak shop at Permas Jaya provided free Wifi services. Also the first mamak shop at Johor Bahru provide Air-con non-smoking area for family or non-smokers. Most of the tables which loacted close to the wall or pillar are provided with the AC230V power socket for notebook users. (Charges is MYR0.50 per hour)

As you can see from above....there are also many customers sit across the road.

I'm usually visit here during night time. Last night was pack with notebook and others gadgets around this mamak shop! It was too crowded! So, because of my curiosity.....I try to see what they do on their notebook computer.....
What i got here :-
* Working with bunch of documents beside.......(looks like insurance agent)
* Checking email.
* Chatting....
* Me? blogging.....
* Watching youtube short clips
* Play online game with their PSP.
* Scanning through his/her photo album
You can see the above normal situations happen at most of the Wifi area.....

PSP online gamers.....(please don't misunderstand, err....we are not gay.....)

Another different category below :-
* Bring their notebook computer, plug-in the power......watching DVD movies!!!
Friends, you 'DID' it!! I already notice that you OWN a ACER Notebook Computer! And I believe the others customer also feel the same.
Start A blog to let the world know that you OWN a computer and show off that IT can play my DVD movie!
And last advise from me, your volume was TOO loud and disturb others customer beside you!

Beside this, it's worth visit this restaurant..... :)

Shi-Hua Bak Kut Teh, Permas Jaya, Johor Bahru

Shi Hua (Wah) Bak Kut Teh (N1°29.865' E103°49.182') at Taman Permas Jaya is one of our favorite!! It's located at the junction of Jalan Permas 9/3 and Jalan Permas 9/5, just next to the Jusco Shopping Center Permas Jaya.

We usually visit it on Sunday morning and always pack of peoples! The average time for the foods to serve is 15 minutes, for me.....it's still acceptable. :)

This is what we order normally, the pork is gentle, my family love it very much. And they maintain the standard of the food all the time!

Prices are reasonable. Less than MYR25.00 for the above meal.
